Saint Louis Hospital
  • Located at the gates of the Old City, between the “Jewish” western part and the “Arabic” eastern part of the city, Saint Louis has always been a sign of reconciliation and peace. In a context marked by tension and conflict, we welcome Jewish, Muslim and Christian patients with no distinction nor division, their families meet and accompany their loved ones together with the compassionate assistance of the staff, which also come from various backgrounds.

Imagine yourself in a garden, with green trees and bright flowers, sunlight on your face and a breeze on your skin, with birds singing and the sound of water in a fountain…

Then imagine you are in a hospital room, on a wheelchair or bedridden, around you… only walls and artificial light.

Our guests need to breathe and to be able to enjoy small beautiful sensations that life can still offer: they are oncological, chronic patients, their independence only a memory, hospitalized until the end of their days in our Saint Louis hospital, the first to offer palliative care in Jerusalem.

Some guest and staff of Saint Louis

Located at the gates of the Old City, between the “Jewish” western part and the “Arabic” eastern part of the city, Saint Louis has always been a sign of reconciliation and peace. In a context marked by tension and conflict, we welcome Jewish, Muslim and Christian patients with no distinction nor division, their families meet and accompany their loved ones together with the compassionate assistance of our staff, which also come from various backgrounds.

Our dream is to be able to offer a wider and better welcome for the patients by refurbishing our structure.

The first step is to be able to give our guests a garden: open space, air, light, sharing. And if your generosity will allow us, we will go further.
