The instructors of the Italian National Alpine Cliff and Cave Rescue Corps successfully completed a training course for 27 mountain rescuers of the Kosovo Mountain Rescue Service. The course focused on rescue in summer and winter conditions, including search techniques during avalanches, stretcher handling, and first aid procedures.
The closing ceremony was held in the presence of Giovanni Timillero, Head of the Environment and Nature Sector of AICS in the Western Balkans, Maurizio Dellantonio, National President of CNSAS, Roberto Bolza, National Advisor of CNSAS, Arianit Nikqi, President of the Kosovo Mountaineering and Alpinist Federation, and a delegation from @nato.kfor.
In addition to the skills acquired, each participant also received a complete rescuer’s kit for mountain interventions. Tourism in Kosovo is now safer and more protected.
